Open Source commercetools
Breaking a traditional accelerator into smaller composable pieces means they can be added to any tech stack without conflict. We looked at past implementations and accelerators and identified those smaller, standalone items that had a large impact on the majority of MACH projects. These items were then formalized and released under the AGPL-3.0 license as a collection of commercetools custom applications and microservices known as our Aries Labs.
We share them openly with you to use as a reference or to leverage directly for your project. Each Lab is…

Aries Labs is continually expanding its open-source projects. Our extensive experience implementing commercetools and composable commerce means we are always building repeatable ways to make any project faster and more predictable. As we build components that are helpful to us, we share them so they can help you too.
Shop Assist
Sometimes customers need help finding items and getting through checkout. Shop Assist empowers businesses with the tools to aid these customers effectively. This application is accessible via the commercetools Merchant Center, allowing your team to search for, view, and edit cart details.
Designed with customization in mind, Shop Assist enables businesses to control displayed information, search criteria, and integrate additional functionalities, ensuring your customers get the type of help they need and ultimately improving conversion rates.
Shop Assist removes 4-8 weeks of customer-service portal build time.
Emailer
View the list of emails configured and the template editor, which provides an interface to manage all aspects of email communications directly from the commercetools Merchant Center. Edit emails in three steps; choose the event trigger, craft the email subject with personalization, and design the email using intuitive drag-and-drop.
Our templates render correctly across all major email clients, and the backend can be hosted on commercetools connect or any cloud supported by commercetools subscriptions.
Emailer allows business users to own transactional emails without IT help.
Inventory Service
If you need to manage in-store and online inventory in a high-throughput environment, our Inventory Service connects to Google’s Cloud Spanner to provide streamlined SKU availability.
This open-source service provides high-availability, near-real-time omnichannel inventory for ecommerce.

Custom Objects Editor
If you are using commercetools Custom Objects for your project, the Custom Objects Editor is a Merchant Center extension for creating, updating, and removing custom object data from your project.
This extension lets administrators use and manage commercetools custom objects without requiring developers.
Custom Object Editor can store the content and data that doesn’t fit in other commercetools sections (e.g. Brand Info).
KICK-OFF QUICKLY
The MACH Booster commercetools Accelerator
The MACH Booster is our all-in-one starter, built around commercetools Foundry. It includes many of our Labs solutions and a full React UI component library. While the Booster is not open-source, it can still be leveraged for new projects that need a suite of pre-built composable pieces.
